Number of North Korean Refugees in South Korea in 2011Posted on Wednesday, January 11, 2012

 

The number of North Korean refugees who arrived in South Korea in 2011 stood at 2,737. The total number of North Korean refugees resettling in the South reached 23,100 as of December 31, 2011.

 

-        The number of North Korean refugees who entered South Korea last year is a 15% increase from 2010 (2,379) and a 6% drop from 2009(2,927).
